Being inspired by her grandmother’s traditional wisdom and use of natural medicines, Dr. Demehri, ND developed a curiosity for health and healing which led her to pursue a path in natural medicine.

After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science, Dr. Demehri traded the rain for the snow and moved to Toronto to study Naturopathic Medicine. During the 4 year program, she discovered a range of effective natural modalities such as Diet & Nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Homeopathy, as well as the impact lifestyle and personal beliefs & attitudes can have on one’s health. She also had the opportunity to work with HIV+ patients at Sherbourne Health Centre and traveled to study under renowned Homeopathic Doctors including Rajan Sankaran, Jeremy Scherr, Louis Klein, and Divya Chabra.

Upon graduation from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, she was awarded the Joyce Vanderburgh Scholarship for being the intern who best demonstrated outstanding clinical performance.

In addition to seeing patients at Mahaya, her interest and passion for homeopathy has led her to be pursuing a Homeopathic Doctorate degree from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine and completing Louis Klein’s 3 year Master Clinician Course.

In her general family practice she encourages and educates her patients to take control of their health and treats the underlying cause.

Dr. Demehri, ND is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
