Pavlovic, Ante - Yoga Therapy Toronto
I was first introduced to Yoga while working with special needs adults. This path has led me to the practice and teaching of Yoga, both as a philosophy and as therapy. After completing multiple yoga trainings in Toronto, I had the wonderful experience of living in Chennai, India for nearly two years (2003-2004) while training in the direct lineage of yoga master Sri T. Krishnamacharya and studying on a daily basis with the son and grandson of Krishnamacharya.
While in India, I completed a one year Yoga Therapy internship as part of the teaching faculty at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM), a centre renowned worldwide for healing and education. Also, I was part of the first batch of international students to be officially certified as a Yoga Teacher, as well as Yoga Teacher Trainer in the lineage of Krishnamacharya. In addition, all throughout my life I have been immersed in various sports, martial arts, and personal fitness training which has also helped inform my work. Besides individual yoga therapy, one other area of interest has been to teach yoga to athletes from all disciplines, including: golfers, tennis players, cricketers, basketball teams, as well as the University of Toronto varsity track & field team.
