Dr. Kenneth J. Chu is a naturopathic doctor and clinical director at Well of Health Naturopathic Clinic. Ken has an eclectic approach to practice, using all his tools to facilitate in treating his patients and address the cause for individuals concerns. He mainly focuses on a general family practice with special interests in pediatrics, gastroenterology, sports medicine, weight management, facial rejuvenation acupuncture, musculoskeletal conditions, men health, and mental/emotional concerns. Born and raised in Edmonton, he felt that coming back home after naturopathic medical school would be the best option for him to start his career.
Dr. Chu graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in 2006. Prior to that, he finished his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta in Biological Sciences. During his time at CCNM, he had the privilege to go to Hong Kong to further his studies in musculoskeletal conditions with a renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor, Chan Chung Leung, former Dean of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Shanghai. Dr. Chan used Chinese medicine, Osteopathy, and Chiropractic techniques to assess and treat his patients and instilled many clinical pearls in Dr. Chu repertoire for treatment. He was also trained in facial rejuvenation acupuncture by Virginia Doran M.Ac., L.Ac., LMT. Â Furthermore, Dr. Chu has taken many seminars in nutrition and in homeopathy with the likes of the Ullmans, Jonathan Shore, and Rajan Sankaran and the Bombay Group of Homeopathy in India. In addition, Dr. Chu was the selected few to advance his studies in the sports medicine rotation at CCNM and treated many patients at major sporting events. Upon graduation, Dr. Chu was honoured with the President recognition for Traditional Chinese Medicine award.
