RESTORE & RENEW
With relaxing summer days beginning to wane and summer holidays ending, our thoughts turn to getting ready for back to school, or a regular fall schedule. And since the fun and sun of those summer vacations can wear us out, our focus in August will be restoring and renewing the body.
We will incorporate restorative poses into our yoga practice this month in a variety of ways. There will be a Tuesday evening Restorative Yoga workshop, were all poses will be restorative. Restorative poses will be used at the end of all Yoga classes with some pranayama and meditation this month. And in Pilates, we will use ball work to release the body, and bring the restorative to our practice.
There are breathing and visualization exercises incorporated into the restorative practice to help one connect and completely let go in order to re-energize and recharge your mind, your body and your spirit.
