Why Study Moksha Hot Yoga

The Moksha Yoga program is an entirely unique hot yoga teacher training, comprising a one-month hot yoga intensive and a 10-month correspondence course.

High Standards - Moksha Yoga was founded not only to offer an exemplary hot yoga series in a conscious studio environment, but to offer the most thorough hot yoga teacher training available. We feel that we have met this goal and yet we continue to challenge ourselves further improve the program.

"Without a doubt the most comprehensive and inspiring teacher training that I have been a part of. It is an honor to continue my involvement with Moksha Yoga." -Frank Jude Boccio, Author "Mindfulness Yoga"
Leadership in Faculty - We know that on our own we can't represent a world of yoga knowledge in the varied yoga disciplines. For this reason we have asked for the help of an incredibly inspiring faculty comprised of authors, scholars, performers, international lecturers and senior yoga practitioners. The best thing I have ever done! This experience has changed me, by way of growth on a very deep level." Participant, 2006
Feedback - Feedback directed at the end of both the one-month intensive and the 10-month correspondence course we ask students to complete extensive feedback forms. The results are compiled, sent to faculty members, reviewed by the Moksha Yoga directors and from there we evolve.

Multi-Disciplinary - Most Moksha teachers think of Moksha hot yoga as their yoga home base. All our teacher trainees take one class per week in a different yoga style (Sivananda, Ashtanga, Iyengar) so that they can learn more about the vast world of yoga and relate to their future students who have practiced other forms of yoga. This multi-disciplinary approach also reflects our respect for all forms of yoga.

"I loved the experience, I learned lots, gained more confidence, learned to step out of my comfort zone." Participant, 2005

Group Size - We limit our teacher training program group to 60 practitioners, and we have never had less than 35. This size range allows for independence, diversity and the opportunity for a great network of support.

After the intensive training each participant can take part in a web based chat site to exchange ideas about yoga, check in and yes, make the odd out-of-towner dinner get-together!

These groups are still active since the very first Moksha Yoga teacher training in 2003, an example of the kind of san'ga or family that the training inspires.
