About Riverbend Athletic Club

Working Up a Sweat

If people can't work up a sweat inside this south side centre, then you're not trying hard enough. The Riverbend Athletic Club is owned and operated by the "Friends of The Riverbend Athletic Club" long time members that took ownership of the club August, 2008. The club has nine racquet courts (including squash and handball), a fully equipped fitness area, a 20-metre pool, organized aerobics classes for all ages and abilities, and more. There's a full range of Lifecycle bikes and exercisers, as well as Stairmaster machines to challenge the legs. For people who want to catch some telly while exercising, there are TVs attached to some machines.

Cooldown

Of course, there's also plenty of amenities for after the workout. There are separate saunas and whirlpool baths to help ease sore muscles. For anyone looking to refuel after the workout, the on-site lounge can dish up some pizza, soups, subs, sandwiches and salads, and folks can also grab a stick and shoot billiards or catch the latest game on the satellite TV. Banquet facilities and group packages are also available
