The Toronto Eagles Soccer Club Inc. is a volunteer based, community run youth soccer club operating in the Central/South area of Toronto since 1997. The Club was formed on March 17, 1997 by parents of youth who participated in the soccer program being run by the Wallace Emerson Community Centre.

In 2001, the Club was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. The Club is governed by its Constitution and is run by an elected group of Directors, both of which provide stability and continuity required to meet the needs of the membership of the Club.

The Club has grown tremendously over the years from 200 participants in 1997 to over 1800 participants in 2003. The Club will field over 75 house league recreational teams in 2003 for participants 5 to 16 years of age and will also field All-Star and Rep teams in all age groups in the Central Soccer League, Girls Central Soccer League, Central Toronto Youth Soccer League and the Toronto Soccer Association All-Star League. The Club is also a member of the Toronto Soccer Association and the Ontario Soccer Association.The All-Star and Rep teams have won numerous divisional, cup and tournament championships since 1997.

On January 1, 2003, the Club hired a full-time professional Director of Coaching and Player Development to oversee and enhance the coaching and skill development of its youth programs. The Club's rapid growth and the desire to increase the development of quality programs created the need for this position with the Club. The Club is committed to provide the best quality service and develop its programs to meet the growing needs of its membership and the community. In June 2003, the Club will also open the Toronto Eagles Soccer Academy under the direction of the Club's Director of Coaching and Player Development. The purpose of the Toronto Eagles Soccer Academy will be to operate an all-day soccer camp during the months of July and August of each year and also to offer and operate year round soccer training for members of the Club.

The growth and success of the Club is dependent on the loyalty and commitment of its membership and supporters. The Club's coaches and Directors work on a volunteer basis and these individuals have spent countless hours in coaching and administration work to ensure that the Club provides an organized recreational soccer program in an area of Toronto where organized sports for youth are in short supply. And in exchange, the membership takes pride in being part of a reputable and successful organization. The Toronto Eagles Soccer Club instills community participation and intends to play a major role in continuing the growth and development of our youth and the sport of soccer in our community.
